Project scope
Remodel the kitchen and expand to include a breakfast nook. 80 sq. ft. new space, 233 sq. ft. remodeled kitchen.

Our charge
Proving that no job is too small we accepted this commission that also includes adding a fireplace to the family room and adding a screen porch. The porch was dropped from the scope eventually. The existing kitchen is hemmed-in on four sides making it dark and uncomfortable to gather in. By replacing a pantry closet with cabinetry we gained some visual expansion in one direction. We removed the adjacent wall and designed the new breakfast nook to open the kitchen views out to the yard and to bring in more light. The design also improves the flow to the family room, terrace and backyard.
